Whimsical White Christmas Tree Decor
Frosted Christmas Tree
First things first, a frosted Christmas tree is a must when you’re trying to achieve a more whimsical aesthetic. A Christmas tree is an investment and something you want to last longer than a year. Frosted trees will always be in style, so you don’t have to worry about having to buy a new Christmas tree every year if you’re opting for an artificial one.

Soft, Whimsy String Lights
The next thing I always do when I decorate my Christmas tree is string the lights. My tree is pre-lit so it already comes with a set of lights, however, adding globe string lights or star string lights to your tree will elevate the look and add more dimension. This is a Christmas decor hack I have sworn by for years, and even got my mom to start doing it to her tree as well.

White or Cream Tree Ribbon
Adding ribbon to your tree is a beautiful way to add softness and dimension to your Christmas tree. Opt for a white velvet ribbon to keep with the icy white look or go for a creamy, ivory ribbon to add a bit of contrast to your tree.

Wrap Garland Around the Tree
Want even more dimension and visual interest? A round ball garland will do just the trick! A wooden beaded garland will add character to your tree, while a felt ball garland creates a softer, whimsy feel.

Add White and Champagne Colored Ornaments
While you could add plain white ornaments to your Christmas tree, I love adding white and change colored ornaments to a tree. This will keep the tree looking soft and whimsical without taking away from the white aesthetic. I love adding the champagne colored ornaments to a tree because it also makes your tree feel warmer.

Add a Christmas Tree Topper
You can’t decorate a tree without a tree topper of some sort! We absolutely love the classic white star to go on top of the tree, but there’s something so sweet about the bow tree topper that we can’t stop thinking about.

Cover the Christmas Tree Stand
Lastly, we cannot stand the sight of a tree stand being exposed, so covering it with a tree collar, tree skirt or a wrap of fabric will certainly do the trick. Opt for a white woven tree color to add texture and visual interest or a fuzzy tree skirt to add a soft, whimsical feel.
