How to make the dough!

These cookies are super simple to make. So grab your ingredients and let’s hop into the deets!

Cream Butter and sugar.

First step is to always cream butter and sugar together. This step is important because it whips air into the cookies, making them fluffy, so you don’t end up with a flat cookie. You will whip the butter and sugar together until it is smooth and creamy. It’s important the butter is evenly mixed into the sugar.

Mix in dry ingredients.

Before you mix in your dry ingredients, make sure you whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. This will allow each ingredient to blend more evenly into the creamed butter.

Pour the flour mixture into the creamed butter and mix until incorporated. Make sure to scrape the sides of the bowl for any loose flour.

Add the mix-ins!

This is the fun part! Pour the Oreo cookies, white chocolate chips and sprinkles into the dough and mix until evenly incorporated. You are adding a lot of mix-ins to this dough, so feel free to adjust the amount to your liking! We just love a loaded cookie!!

Scoop large scoops.

This recipe is meant to make large cookies. A general rule when we make these cookies, is to roughly scoop 1/4 cup of dough for each dough ball. That may seem like a lot, but because these cookies are so full of mix-in’s you’ll want, if not need, them to be that big. This way you get enough dough to mix-in ratio.

Scoop the dough onto a parchment lined rimmed baking sheet and chill for at least 10-15 minutes to get the dough nice and firm.

Chill and Bake!

After the dough balls have chilled, place 4-5 dough balls on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 350ºF, for 15-18 minutes. When the cookies are nice and golden on the edges, they are done!

Take the cookies out of the oven and let them cool on a cooling rack for 5-10 minutes before enjoying. Repeat this step for the rest of the cookies and enjoy!

What makes this the ultimate cookie?

Cookies are so easy to make but there is a bit of easy science that creates to making the best cookies. It essentially comes down to the temperature of your ingredients, the right ratio and how you prep and cook the dough. Here are the most important things to note!

  • Cold butter! This is essential. If your butter is too warm, the cookies can spread too much when baking.
  • Room temperature eggs. Make sure to set your eggs out ahead of time to get to room temperature. They will blend easier into your batter.
  • Chill the cookie dough. A little extra chill of the cookie dough is an extra step we never skip! Even if it is just chilling for 10 minutes, it helps to solidify the dough. Chilled dough helps to reduce the spread of the cookies. If your dough is too warm, the butter will melt and your cookies will spread.

How many cookies does this recipe make?

This recipe makes about 14-16 large cookies, which are about 4 tbsp of dough each.

How to store the cookies

Make sure your cookies are completely cooled before storing. If they are warm, condensation and moisture can form in the storage container.

Room temperature: Store cookies in an airtight container or plastic bag in a cool, dry place. They will be good for 3-4 days.

Freezer: Yes, you can freeze baked cookies! Make sure the cookies are completely cooled. Store the cookies airtight container or plastic bag separating the layers with a piece of parchment or wax paper. Try to remove as much of the air as possible before sealing the bag to prevent freezer burn. You can store them in the freezer for up to 6 months.

Description

A soft vanilla cookie dough filled with Oreo pieces, white chocolate chips and lots of sprinkles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 sticks butter chilled
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped Oreos
  • 1/2 cup sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, gently whisk together your flour, salt, baking powder. Set aside and start creaming your butter and sugars together in a bowl.
  2. Cube your chilled butter and toss in a standing mixer bowl. On low speed, cream your butter until it is a whipped texture.
  3. Add in your sugars and mix on medium speed until creamed together. Make sure all butter is evenly blended into the sugars.
  4. Add two eggs and vanilla extract to the creamed butter and mix on medium-high speed. Pour in your flour mixture in 1/3 portions, waiting to make sure the flour mixture is incorporated completely before adding more.
  5. Once your mixture is fully blended together, remove mixing bowl from the stand mixer. Pour in your chopped Oreos, white chocolate chips and sprinkles to the batter. Using a wooden spoon, mix everything into the dough.
  6. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop and roll dough into large dough balls. They should be about 2 inches thick to make large cookies. Place on prepared baking sheet a couple inches apart and place in freezer for 30 minutes to chill.
  7. While the cookies are chilling, preheat your oven to 350°F. After your cookies are chilled, place the cookies in the oven and bake for 15-18 minutes, until golden brown on the edges. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes & enjoy!
