How to Prepare Your Mexican Charcuterie Board
We think charcuterie boards should be simple to create, so instead of going “all out” and making one from scratch, we decided to make this charcuterie board easier for you.
This Mexican charcuterie board is easy and quick to make. We included mini chicken tacos, spicy salsa, chips, and more. It is so delicious and will be a hit with friends and family.
First, make sure your charcuterie board is clean before placing any food on the board. Once your board is clean, you can begin to prepare the food.
Second, start preparing the mini chicken tacos (or taquitos/ jalapeño poppers) based off the instructions on the back of the box. Again, we wanted to make this board easy and quick to create, so pre-made items are the way to go!
While the tacos are in the oven, you can begin to prepare the board. Add your salsa and guacamole to two separate bowls, respectively. We set these bowls off to the side of the board for dipping. Slice your cheddar cheese block into cubes.
Next, decorate the board! This our favorite part of making charcuterie boards. This it your time to have fun! Create the board you envision for your friends. However, we will tell you how we styled ours. We added the sweet peppers around the edges, placed the mini tacos across the tops, added cheese cubes, and chips! In a bowl to the side, we added the sweet cinnamon grahams for a touch of sweetness to balance out this spicy board.
Lastly, we added a decorative touch with cilantro. You don’t need to add cilantro, but it does garnish the board nicely. Add it if you would like.
Final Tips for Making Your Mexican Charcuterie Board
We have some final tips to creating your dream board! First, is to make it yours. By that we mean, create your board for the size of gathering you’re having. Gauge how much of each item you would need for the size of group you’re hosting. Make your board big or small. Second, have food reserved for when the board runs out. Fill in chips, cubes of cheese and peppers as needed. You can always add more to the board as it gets munched off of.
That’s all for this post about creating your own sweet and spicy Mexican charcuterie board! We know it was so fun to create and know you will have so much fun creating and sharing this with your friends and family!
