We are bringing the Starbucks fall favorite drink to the comfort of your home with this homemade pumpkin sweet cream cold brew.

It’s fall, which means we can start brewing up some festive fall drinks!! In our homemade pumpkin sweet cream cold brew, a strong iced cold brew is topped with whipped pumpkin spice sweet cream foam. The strong bitter taste of the coffee is perfectly balanced by the sweetness of the creamy pumpkin foam. We know that when you typically think fall and the cold weather, you start craving warm drinks. But there is something about the balance of the bitter and sweet flavors that have turned us into cold weather cold drink girls!

You are in for a treat today with our homemade pumpkin sweet cream cold brew. One of the most anticipated drinks of fall is the Starbucks pumpkin sweet cream cold brew. And nothing beats the first sip! If you’ve tried it, you know exactly what we are talking about. And if you have not tried this drink before, you will know what we we mean after you try this recipe!

Why we skip the coffee shop convenience at make at home…

We love being able to make our coffee shop favorites at home to save some time and money! And a lot of times, we actually prefer the way we make them because we can add the amount of sweetness and cream that we like. Our version of the pumpkin sweet cream cold brew is a healthier alternative to the Starbucks drink without compromising the flavor. In the cold foam, we use maple syrup instead of lots of simple syrup and add fresh pumpkin puree and spices to create that same flavor you know and love in the original drink. And we would argue that we like the taste better!! This drink takes less than 5 minutes to make, which is less time than it will take you to sit in the drive through line!

Homemade Pumpkin Sweet Cream Cold Brew

What’s in the recipe?

Heavy Whipping Cream: We found whipping cream to be the only thing that creates the amazing light, whipped texture that makes the sweet cream irresistible.

Pumpkin Puree: Pumpkin puree adds that fresh pumpkin flavor, giving the cream that rich pumpkin flavor and orange-y color.

Pumpkin spice: Just a dash of pumpkin spice heightens the flavors in the pumpkin in the sweet cream.

Maple Syrup: Instead of using a lot of flavored simple syrups like the traditional Starbucks coffee shop recipe, we used a more nutritious sweetener. And we think that maple syrup is the right amount of sweet and lacks the aftertaste of many simple syrups.

Cold Brew: We love to use the Starbucks brand of cold brew because it obviously will taste the most similar to the original drink. But any brand of cold brew will work perfectly fine. We have listed some of our favorites below!
