Description

This Peppermint Iced Coffee combines homemade Oreo milk, peppermint syrup, a double shot of espresso, and fluffy Oreo whipped cream. Finished with crushed candy canes, Oreo crumbs, and holiday sprinkles, this festive iced coffee recipe is the ultimate Christmas coffee treat.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 8 shots of espresso (2 for each drink)
  • 1 cup Oreo milk
  • 2 oz peppermint syrup
  • 1/2 cup ice

Oreo Milk

  • 10 Oreos
  • 4 cups whole milk

Oreo Whipped Cream Topping

  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • 5 Oreos, crushed to a powder
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 candy canes, crushed (for topping)
  • Oreo crumbs (optional)
  • Christmas nonpareil sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make Oreo milk. Soak Oreos in milk overnight or at least 8 hours for the best flavor. Strain the Oreos out with a superfine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
  2. Make Oreo whipped topping. In a stand mixer, add whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla, and mix until it reaches a whipped cream texture and soft peaks form. Gently mix in crushed oreos mixed into whipped cream. Fill a piping bag with the Oreo whip.
  3. Make a double espresso shot for the best flavor.
  4. Assemble the drink. In a glass or plastic to-go cup, assemble the drink. Add ice, peppermint syrup, milk, and espresso in that order to a cup. Pour everything into a drink shaker and give it a good shake before pouring it back into your cup. This will evenly distribute the peppermint and espresso and Oreo flavor throughout the drink.
  5. Top the drink with a piping of Oreo fluff and sprinkle the top with candy cane, Oreo crumbs, and Christmas sprinkles.
