- 3/4 cup creamy almond butter (or your preferred nut butter)
- 1/4 cup chocolate protein powder
- 2 tbs cacao powder
- 2 tbs maple syrup
- 4 tbs almond milk
- 2/3 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 tbs coconut oil
- 1/4 cup M&Ms, crushed
Instructions
- Line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium mixing bowl, mix almond butter, chocolate protein powder, cacao powder, maple syrup and almond milk together.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of the loaf pan. We like to make our portion bars thicker, so the mixture often does’t spread the whole length of the pan.
- Melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil in the microwave, stopping to stir every 30 seconds until completely melted.
- Pour chocolate over the protein bar base and spread evenly across the bars.
- Crush M&Ms in a plastic bag. We like to use a rolling pin to crush them into finer pieces. Sprinkle the crushed M&Ms on top. Allow bars to harden in freezer for 2 hours.
- Slice into squares and enjoy!
Notes
We like to keep our protein bars in the freezer, because they do soften easily. Keep protein bars in an airtight container in your freezer.
