This post is all about a modern powder bath design.
We are huge believers that powder baths are anything but boring, closet bathrooms. They are the perfect opportunity to have fun and reflect your personality. Plus, they are always fun spaces for guests to discover when their visit your home.
For this design, we wanted to play with natural stone, texture and pattern, while keeping with a light and bright color scheme. We envision this powder bath being in a cute, modern bungalow in California, so that became the inspiration for the design.

Stunning Modern Powder Bath Design
As we mentioned, we wanted to have fun in this bathroom, but still keep it light and airy.
The first thing we did was add a large veined, brown and white marble flooring to the space. Then, we flanked the walls and ceiling with a gorgeous, light, patterned wallpaper. This helped to add some of that fun, modern personality to the space.
Next, we went with a light wood vanity. We stuck with clean lines for the construction of the vanity as well. The surface on top is a thick slab of a neutral marble as well. When adding multiple types of stone to a space, it’s important not to go wild. We made sure to keep the material of the floor, walls, and vanity all neutral tones, so they blended well together.
We added a rounded, rectangular mirror above the vanity, a modern light fixture above the mirror and a dimensional art piece mounted to the wall opposite the toilet. To complete the space, we added chrome fixtures, some fresh flowers, soap and a burgundy hand towel below the sink.
We are absolutely obsessed with this design, and even though it’s not for one of our clients, we think it would be an gorgeous design to replicate in someone’s space in the future.
