4 Fun and Colorful Modern Girls Bedroom Design Ideas

1. Timeless Pink Girls Bedroom

The inspiration behind this design was to create a cozy girls bedroom where pink was the star of the show. Instead of pink paint, we opted for a texture wall treatment…pink gras cloth wallpaper. Not only does it make the space feel more luxurious, but truly makes such a stunning statement in the room as well.

We kept the rest of the pallet a mixture of whites and creams, with a few pops of purple and blue. We added storage to one wall for toys, clothes and other personal belongings. The alcove in the wall created a perfect opportunity for a floating desk.

We can just imagine all the girly-fun that would be had in this sweet bedroom!

2. Bright and Earthy Girls Bedroom

If your daughter loves adventure and earthy tones, then this would be the perfect bedroom for her!

We flanked each wall with a gorgeous golden striped wallpaper—making the smaller dimensions of this room feel much larger. The pallet of the rest of the items were creams and whites, however we added some warmth with round, light wood nightstands. The bold art piece above the bed adds some more fun, earthy color to the space too.

Above the nightstands, we chose small globe sconces instead of lamps. In the corner of the room, we gave this girls room a cozy reading nook. We added a pendant light above the accent chair, and some floating shelves to hold a library of books.

3. Artsy Girls Bedroom

This is by far the most bold bedroom design, but we’re slightly obsessed. The oversized watercolor wallpaper design makes such a stunning statement in the room, so we chose to keep it the focal point.

Like the other girls room designs, we kept the rest of the pallet in the room whites and creams. We hung white pendant lights over each nightstand as a fun way to add light in the space.

Additionally, in the window alcove, we added a small, cozy sofa with pink and navy blue decorative pillows. We added sheer curtain panels to both the windows to keep the room whimsical and airy against the bold wallpaper.

Lastly, the acrylic shelves are the perfect opportunity to store books, toys and other decorative items.

4. Dreamy Girls Bedroom

Looking for a whimsical bedroom design idea for your daughter? She’ll absolutely love this! We started by adding a dreamy, cloud print wallpaper that makes a stunning subtle statement in the space.

We wanted to fill this room with accents of purple, blue and pink to make the more neutral elements in the space pop. We added a purple cushion on the window seat, some colorful throw pillows to make the space a bit cozier and some purple ottomans at the end of the bed.

To add additional storage, we chose a large, stream-lined dresser for the wall opposite of the bed. We placed the TV in the middle of that wall, and built white floating shelves around the TV to create symmetry with the door on the other side. We love how this provides functional storage, while still creating a focal point on this wall as well.
