A new year means it’s time to get rid of what’s not working and starting new habits to reach new goals in the coming months. One of our favorite ways to cast a vision for the new year is to create a vision board full of pictures, quotes and meaningful words to motivate and inspire us.
Building your vision board with friends is instantly more motivating. For a night full of fun memories, good food and sitting goals, throwing a vision board party will become your favorite new tradition.
Gather you some old magazines, supplies and your besties — it’s time to celebrate the new year and a great year ahead.

What is a vision board?
A vision board is a collage of pictures, magazine clippings, words and phrases that are arranged together to portray the vision, goals and aspirations you have tor the coming year or years ahead.

How to Throw a Vision Board Party
1. Invite Your Friends
First things first, send out an invitation to your friends. Since you’re most likely hosting a fun, casual girls night, this could be as simple as a text message or an e-vite. We love making cute personalized invitation graphics to send via email, when we’re hosting a casual night with friends.

2. Make Dinner and Treats
When hosting your best friends, you have to serve a delicious meal, snacks, treats, or all of the above. Keeping dinner simple with an easy pasta or pizza recipe is always our go-to.

3. Serve Beverages
Drinks should be on hand for any girls night friends — but especially in celebration of the New Year. We think it would be so much fun to serve holiday-themed drinks or warm beverages like hot cocoa or coffee.

4. Set the Scene
While your home may still have festive decor from the holidays, it’s always fun to add some touches for the New Year. Adding some silver and white balloons, stringing garland and playing a fun New Year’s playlist will get you and your friends in the mood to celebrate and get crafty.
Since you’ll be using some potentially sticky craft supplies to make your vision boards, it’s always helpful to cover your table with a cheap table cloth. Look for a table cloth that’s on theme for the New Years — maybe one that’s silver or gold or shimmery.
