How to Host a Cozy Fall Brunch for Friends

In our opinion, weekend brunches should be casual, inviting occasions for your friends to relax and welcome them into your home. Prepping for and creating the “perfect” ambience for the day is essential, but don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Your friends are going to absolutely love it.

With delicious baked goods, good coffee, and time to sit around and catch up from the week, you’ll create memories that’ll last a lifetime. Who knows, a monthly brunch may become a tradition!

1. Send invitations

First things first, send out invitations to your friends. Whether that’s a quick text or a cute Paperless Post invitation, sending them something to put the date on the calendar is a must.

Pro tip: If you want to offer for your friends to bring food items to the brunch, then make sure to add this information on the invitation as well.

2. Create the Menu

Now it’s time for the fun part (and what we look forward to most when hosting), the menu. Fall is such a fun time to bake and cook, because of all the cozy and delicious foods you crave this time of year. From pumpkin spice to cinnamon apples and savory sausage egg bakes, there are so many delicious recipes to choose from.

3. Create a Casual, Fall Table Setting

Like we mentioned above, you don’t have to get too elaborate with brunch, but adding seasonal touches to your space to make it feel warm and welcoming is a great idea. You can add a plaid tablecloth to your table, some gorgeous pumpkins and gourds to the center of the table, and complete the look with some glowing candles and cute fall-themed dinnerware.

4. Play Some Tunes

Music sets the tone for any party. For a fall weekend brunch, we’re thinking chill music vibes. Whether that’s fall jazz or a chill fall playlist, you can’t go wrong with either. It’ll make your home feel inviting for the occasion.

5. Send Friends Home with a Goodie Box

Lastly, before your friends walk out the door, send them home with a cute baked good or leftover goodie box. If you have a bunch of food leftover, making goodie boxes for your friends is a great way to eliminate food waste.

However, if you expect a majority of the food to be eaten by the time guests leave, have a baked good prepped to share with them. We love baking pumpkin cookies or spiced golden Oreo truffles for the fall time.
