We’re bringing your local cafe straight to your house with this hot honey peach burrata toast. It’ll take breakfast toast up a notch!

Hot Honey Peach Burrata Toast

Who knew that toast could be so fun?! This hot honey peach burrata toast is such a delicious treat for a summer morning breakfast or a party appetizer. Enjoy this thick slice of toasted sourdough is spread with rich burrata cheese, topped with fresh peach slices and drizzled with homemade spicy honey.

We recently visited one of our local coffee shops that, along with delicious drinks,  serves specialty toasts that are quite an experience. They serve thick slices of bread with delicious toppings. Anywhere from avocado toast with poached eggs to cheese spread and jam toasts.

We love our local coffee shop runs, but sometimes it’s great to have the convenience of being able to whip up a yummy toast in the comfort of your own kitchen. These decadent toasts we ate at the cafe got our minds churning for ways that we could create our own toasts at home.

So whether you are making a single serving or making for a few, this recipe will definitely satisfy a hungry stomach. If you are making this toast for larger gatherings, you can even try swapping the large slice of toast for a French baguette and make small sharable pieces of toast.

This post is all about peach burrata toast.

What’s in this recipe?

Sourdough boule: We bought ours for just $1.99 from our local Whole Foods. What a deal! It is important to have a fresh loaf of sourdough for this recipe. The texture and flavor of the bread is unmatched. The sour flavor of the bread complements the rich burrata cheese and sweet peaches so well.

Burrata Cheese: Burrata is one of those cheeses that can pair well with anything, savory or sweet. But our favorite way to eat burrata is spread on toast with fruit! It makes the perfect spread.

Fresh Peaches: Summer is peach season, so they are everywhere in our local grocery stores! We think peaches pair the best with this combo but if you are not able to find peaches, you can try other stone fruits, like nectarines or apricots.

Hot Honey: We made our own homemade hot honey that is the perfect blend of spicy and sweet and it is to-die-for! (See full recipe for how to make below.) It adds just the right amount of kick this toast needs.

Fresh Basil: Topping with fresh basil adds a nice pop of color and a fresh flavor!

Note: If making for a crowd on small baguette slices, spread a thin layer of burrata, top with one slice of peach, a drizzle of hot honey and one basil leaf!
