Hannah Montana’s 20th Anniversary Special Is Airing This Month — Here’s Everything You Need to Throw a Watch Party

The official trailer for the “Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special” was released yesterday, and to say we’re excited is an understatement. Growing up during peak Disney days, we experienced the best Disney Channel has to offer. Shows like That’s So Raven, Lizzie McGuire, and The Suite Life of Zach and Cody were on repeat. So, to now see Miley Cyrus coming back to the place her career started, pay homage to the show, and deliver everything the late-20-something-early-30s fans are craving, is truly iconic.

With such a momentous moment in our midst, we plan on hosting a watch party the night of the premiere — March 24th. That means we’ll need Hannah Montana party decor, party snacks, and the perfect soundtrack to kick off the night.

Okay…we aren’t cutting any corners for this party. It may seem dramatic, but as a girl who grew up watching Hannah Montana reruns every week, Hannah Montana merch is a must. You may or may not see us wearing these T-shirts after the fact, too — because they are iconic.

Whether you want your friends to show up in matching T-shirts or gift your friends a shirt when they walk through the door, the option is totally up to you. Don’t forget about the microphone headset and skinny scarf Hannah was known for.

4. Hannah Montana Karaoke

Get the party started with a mix of Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus songs. Maybe throw in a few Disney Channel bangers to break up the mix. Everyone will be singing along all night long!

5. Make Hot Dogs

American food was the cuisine of the show. In honor of Rico’s Surf Shop, making American carnival food, like hot dogs, a feature food on your party menu is a nonnegotiable. Feel free to make miniature or regular-sized hot dogs for your guests — whichever you think they will prefer.

6. Don’t Forget “Rico’s Nachos”

Of course, “Rico’s Nachos” were a highlight of the show. He sold them in his surf shop, and they were featured in multiple episodes. Jackson sold them to customers while he was hot on girls at the beach —LOL.
