Scale
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 sticks butter, melted
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
- 1 cup mini M&M’s
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- Flakey sea salt, for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Prep cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Stir continuously with a wooden spoon and remove from heat once just melted.
- In the bowl of an electric mixer with the paddle attachment (or large bowl if using a hand mixer), mix in sugars on medium-high speed until blended. Mixing in the sugar before the eggs will help to lower the temperature, making it safer to mix in the eggs without cooking them. Next, add in eggs and vanilla, and mix until combined.
- Add in half of the flour mixture and beat on medium speed until just combined. Add in the remaining flour mixture and mix in until just combined.
- Stir in M&M’s and white chocolate chips.
- Use a cookie dough scoop or a large spoon to make cookie dough balls. Line another baking sheet with the cookie dough balls. The recipe should make 20-24 medium-sized cookies. Freeze the dough in the fridge for 15 minutes. This chilling time will help to reduce any spread of the cookies
- Bake cookies for 12-15 minutes. Transfer cookie sheet to a wire rack and let cool for 5 minutes. Best if eaten warm!
