Hibiscus Tea
- 1 packet Starbucks very berry hibiscus tea powder
- 16 oz cold water
- 1 cup ice
- 5–8 blackberries
- 1 cup coconut milk
Sweet Cream Cold Foam
- 1/3 cup milk/almond milk/heavy whipping vream
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
Hibiscus Tea
- Follow directions on Starbucks Very Berry Hibiscus Tea package. You will make a total of 16 oz (2 cups) of Hibiscus tea, but you will only use a cup of this for your drink.
- Add 1 cup of hibiscus tea, ice, coconut milk and berries to a glass and stir together incorporate.
Sweet Cream Cold Foam
- Add almond milk/heavy whipping cream/cow's milk, vanilla and maple syrup to a cup or small bowl. Froth with an electric milk frother until you achieve the desired foam consistency. You want a cloudy, lightly whipped foam texture.
- Pour sweet cream on top of hibiscus milk tea mixture. Sip and enjoy your violet drink!!
Notes
*Getting the consistency of the cold foam: Heavy whipping cream will work best. If you do not have heavy whipping cream, whole milk or a milk alternative such as almond milk will work well too. I used almond milk in this recipe and the consistency was similar!! Having an electric milk frother is probably essential to achieve the desired consistency. I have tried this with an electric mixer and whisk attachment and can’t seem to get that signature sweet cold foam texture that Starbucks in known for.
