How do you make a cookie box?
First step is to decide what kinds of cookies you want to share. Our rule of thumb is typically to aim for different textures, flavors, colors and shapes. Making each cookie it’s own special experience. When you’re making your cookie box, keep these 5 things in mind:
1. Add different textures:
- Dip cookies in chocolate
- Add something crunchy like pretzel, potato chips, candy cane, ect.
- Add fillings – like caramel, jam, hazelnut spread
2. Cookie Flavor Ideas:
- Peanut butter and chocolate
- Fruit Jam
- Citrus
- Salty – Add pretzels, potato chips, flakey sea salt
- Peppermint
- Chocolate
- Caramel
3. Add a variety of colors.
Keep things interesting by adding some color to your box. It’s more fun to open a box with some color than a box full of brown cookies. It’s the holidays, find recipes that have pops of red or green. You can also have fun with color by adding festive m&m’s, sprinkles, different colored jams.
4. Mix and match cookie shapes.
Add an assortment of shapes with cookie cutters or slice bars different ways. This will make your box unique to you!
5. Plan Ahead.
Once you know what cookies you’re going to make, plan out your baking schedule.
We recommend making all the dough ahead of time and freezing or chilling until you are ready to bake. This will make the cookie boxes much easier to assemble the day-of.

Cookie Box Dividers and Wrapping
We recommend filling different sized cupcake liners with cookies to use as dividers for each treat.
