How to Make Chicken Caesar Burgers, Step by Step

Step 1. Make Homemade Caesar Dressing.

There are some amazing storebough caesar dressings, so if you’re running short on time, you can skip straight to making your burgers.

But if you have the time, this homemade Caesar dressing is totally worth it. It’s so fresh, tangy and packed with so much flavor. It’s super easy to make too!

Add all your dressing ingredients to a small high-powered blender or food processor. You’ll want something that is going to blend and emulsify all the ingredients. Blend everything together and pour into a jar or small ramekin for serving.

Tip: If you’re making Caesar Dressing ahead of time, store it in an airtight container in the fridge. It will be good for up to

Step 2. Make Chicken Patties.

Start by warming some oil in a skillet over medium heat on the stovetop. While the skillet is getting warm, make your chicken patties.

In a medium bowl, add ground chicken, panko bread crumbs, egg, seasonins and Worcestershire sauce. Using a wooden spoon or your hands (it may be gross, but is honestly the best way to mix meat) work everything into the meat. Be careful not to overmix!

Tip: Have all your mix-ins measured out ahead of time!! That way, you have everything ready to go for cooking.

Step 3. Form Patties and Cook on Stovetop.

1 lb of meat makes 4 healthy-sized burgers.

Form the meat mixture into 4 patties and cook in the heated skillet. Once the bottom side starts to get golden brown, flip the patties and cook just the same. When the inside of the patties reaches an internal temperature of 165ºF, they are done cooking.

When the patties reach an internal temperature of about 155ºF, add a slice of cheese ontop of each burger to melt.

Step 4. Assemble Chicken Caesar Salad Burgers.

Spread a thin layer of casear dressing on both the top and bottom bun. Layer with chicken patty and lettuce, sandwich together and enjoy!!

Does the Homemade Caesar Dressing have raw egg in it?

Nope! You don’t have to worry about raw eggs in our homemade Caesar dressing. We created one that is packed with all the traditional flavors and uses Parmesan cheese to create a creamy texture.

Tips for Making the Best, Juicy Chicken Patties

Chicken can be drier than hamburger meat, so it helps to add things to the patty that will hold moisture in while you cook.

  • Mix in breadcrumbs.  We used panko breadcrumbs in this recipe, but you can easily swap them with normal breadcrumbs. Panko is a bit less greasy than normal breadcrumbs, but they both serve to absorb and hold moisture in the burger. They also make the patty super tender.
  • Eggs are great binders. Not only do they help hold the patty together while cooking, but they also add some additional fat to the patties.  Extra fat from the egg adds a delicious flavor and texture.
  • Do not over-mix the meat. Overworking the meat can lead to a tough, rubbery texture. Mix until all components are combined before forming into patties.
  • Don’t flatten patties while cooking. Doing this can push out juices in the meat, resulting in a drier patty.

How to Store Chicken Caesar Burger

If you have leftovers, store each component separately to preserve freshness and flavor. Store patties, lettuce and dressing in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.  Extra hamburger buns can be stored at room temperature for up to 3-4 days.

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup panko
  • 1 shallot, minced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Burger Toppings

  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 head butter lettuce
  • 4 brioche hamburger buns
  • 2 tbsp Caesar dressing

Homemade Caesar Dressing

  • 2/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp capers, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 anchovies, minced
  • 4 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Make Caesar dressing (skip this step if you choose store-bought dressing). In a high-powered blender or food processor, add olive oil, chopped capers, minced garlic and anchovies, lemon juice and zest, dijon mustard, worcestershire sauce, and parmesan cheese. Blend together until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  2. Make chicken burger patties. In a medium-sized bowl mix eggs, panko bread crumbs, minced shallot and seasonings together. Add turkey and mix in the egg mixture with your hands until combined. Form into 4 even-sized chicken patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place patties in the skillet and cook until golden brown on bottom side. Flip the patties over and cook until they reach an internal temperature 165ºF. In the last 5 minutes of cooking, place cheese slices on top of each Pattie to melt the cheese. Once done cooking, place the patties on a serving platter or large plate.
  4. Assemble burgers. Spread an even layer of Caesar dressing over the hamburger bun. Layer with a cheesy chicken patty, lettuce and more dressing to your liking. Enjoy!
