We are sharing one of our most classic smoothie recipes, our blueberry banana spinach smoothie!

This smoothie is our go-to almost every time we are craving a smoothie! When we were younger, there used to be an amazing smoothie place in the mall , called Thirsty’s, we frequented and they seemed to make the most amazing blueberry banana smoothie. Does anyone else know of this smoothie chain? We are not sure if it around anymore! Anyways, we recreated that smoothie recipe to the best of our abilities and are sharing it here with you today!

The berry flavor is balanced so well with the creaminess of the banana. Also, don’t be scared to add extra spinach to get some more greens in! Trust us, you won’t even be able to taste the spinach greens that you add. That is what is so great about adding berries to a smoothie, they seem to mask the taste of the greens!

Frozen vs Fresh Fruit….What is best for smoothies??

We love to make smoothies with frozen fruit because it gives the smoothie a creamy and cold consistency. If you were to use fresh fruit, you would get a thinner consistency and may need to add extra ice for a colder smoothie. Additionally, in order to get a good consistency, you need to have a good high-powered blender. We have a couple of our favorite high-powered blenders we have used to make smoothies throughout the years.
