5 Casual Valentine’s Day Outfits

1. A Fur Coat + Bucket Hat

Fur jackets are super trendy this winter. After visiting New York a couple of months ago, every girl was wearing one, and it made me want to try out the look too. In this look, the fur jacket and bucket hat are the stars of the show. To add a festive Valentine’s flair, I tucked a cashmere Intimissimi top (also a must-have item for winter) underneath. To complete the look, throw on some pink Sambas sneakers and gold earrings.

2. Monochrome Maroon Outfit

I’m a sucker for a monochrome outfit. However, to keep things more casual and subdued, I went with a deep maroon color. This still keeps within the vein of red for Valentine’s Day without being too over the top. The striped steer adds visual interest up top, and the addition of the heart-shaped statement earrings makes this a chic outfit for the holiday.

3. Pink Marled Rollneck™ Sweater + Loafers

I am obsessed with J.Crew’s viral Rollneck™ Sweater for winter. I’m convinced the berry vintage red peony color is specifically made with Valentine’s Day in mind. Pair this adorable sweater with some light-wash jeans. Then, complete the look with some black accessories and cinched loafers. The best part is that this outift only takes a few minutes to throw together.

4. Cranberry Sweater Dress + Boots

Going out for a casual date night? My go-to “night-out” look in the winter is a sweater dress that accentuates my silhouette. A chunky belt helps to shape the waist and adds style. To complete the look, I added tall, pointed-toe boots, a handbag, and some heart-shaped earrings.

5. Sweatpants + Slippers + Chocolates

Lastly, if you plan on staying in or are hosting a cozy Galentine’s Day party with your friends, comfy clothes are a must. I created this red monochrome outfit with the coziest sweatpants from Aritzia and some shearling slippers. The accessories for this look are the cherry on top — some cute Valentine’s Jelly Cat stuffed animals and a box of your favorite chocolates (mine are these Dark Chocolate Sctochmallows from See’s Candies).
