How to make buffalo ranch snack mix….

This snack mix is super easy to make, but we’re going to make it simpler. The key? Prepping your work station for super easy clean up. Here’s what you need to do to whip up this snack mix in just 15 minutes!

Measure out your mix ins and seasonings first!

We recommend measuring out all your snack mix mix-ins and seasonings ahead of time. This will make this recipe easier than it already is. Mix ranch seasonings together in a small bowl and measure out buffalo sauce in a separate bowl.

Feel free to customize your mix-ins. If you like more cheese flavor, add more cheese its. But keep the amount to about 10 cups total.

Melt butter and mix in seasonings.

In a sauce pan over medium heat, melt a stick of butter. This should just take a couple minutes to completely melt.  It may seem like a lot of butter, but you’ll need that much to coat all the mix ins.

Once the butter has melted, stir in buffalo sauce and seasonings.

Toss crackers in seasoned butter mixture.

Pour your mix-ins in the largest bowl you have. Drizzle the seasoned butter mixture over the crackers and toss mixture with a spatula for several minutes until the entire mixture is coated.

Bake, cool completely and enjoy!

Spread snack mix out onto 2 sheets in an even layer. Bake in a preheated oven at 350ºF for 20-30 minutes. Baking times may vary depending on your pan and oven. If you notice the crackers are starting to get too brown, remove from the oven. The goal is to just make sure the crackers are crispy and not soggy.

Recipe Tips:

  • Use large mixing bowl. This mix makes a large batch and you will have snacks for days to come. So we recommend using the largest mixing bowl you can find. If you don’t have a large enough bowl on hand, split up your mix into 2 or 3 smaller bowls so that you don’t make a large mess. You can also use a large pot for mixing together the mix!
  • Make more or less.Adjust the amount of the ingredients to make for the amount of people your serving. If you’re serving a couple people, maybe half the batch. Serving a large group? Add a bit more! The good thing is there’s not much science behind this recipe.

Other mix in options:

  • Ruffled potato chips
  • Nuts or seeds
  • Sweet potato chips
  • Rye chips

How to store the snack mix…

Store snack mix at room temperature in an airtight container or zip locked backs to keep fresh. We like to store snack mixes in these cereal containers! Your snack mix should be good in the fridge for up 7 days.
