We find ourselves spending extra amounts of time showing love to the main rooms in our home—the kitchen, living room and bedroom—but when it comes to decorating our bathroom, it’s the last room on our list. Decorating your bathroom can be tricky too, so that’s why we are here to help you bring some stupid gorgeous items into your space.
Target meets the mark in just about every category, but have you seen their bathroom decor? From hand towels to toothbrush holders, Target seems to just know how to make any room gorgeous. Let’s turn that ordinary bathroom into a sanctuary you want to keep coming back to!

Shower Curtains
Shower curtains are one of our favorite bathroom decor items to use to add texture and interest in our bathroom. Many times, shower curtains are too loud for a space. We love making our bathroom a mini, relaxing sanctuary for us to retreat to after a long day of work.
By choosing a light, patterned shower curtain for your bathroom, it softens the space—keeping it light and airy.
Shower Hooks
Shower hooks are often an item that gets overlooks, however they can be a subtle way to add interest to your bathroom. We love choosing ones that look more interesting, but are still simple. Our favorite picks from Target are below!
Bath Towels
Every bathroom needs them, but having a great set of bath towels is a must. We suggest choosing one or two colors that correspond with the color scheme you’re using in your bathroom.
White bath towels are always a great choice, but we love the light pink blush color too! It’s light, fun and youthful and would look beautiful folded on an open shelf for easy access or in your linen closet.
Bath Rugs
Another way to add texture and soften a sterile, ordinary looking bathroom is to add a bath rug. There are so many options to choose from, so your choice of mat truly depends on the amount of space you have in your bathroom.
For a smaller bathroom, we suggest using a smaller bath mat. At the end of the day, a common rule of design is to understand the proportions you’re working with. Therefore, if your bathroom is smaller, you will want to use a smaller rug. We love these luxurious bath rugs below!
If you have a larger bathroom—with double sinks or a soaking tub and shower—a longer runner could look great in your space. Again, a larger space means working with larger proportions or quantity (adding two smaller bath mats instead of one). Here is a cozy runner rug we found at Target!

Decorative bath sets are a great way to add gorgeous details to your space, and a matching bath set always looks so beautiful!
To be honest, one of our favorite aisles at Target has always been the bathroom set aisle. When we redesigned our bathroom in middle school, our mom let us pick out any set we wanted at Target, so it’s always held an oddly special place in our heart. LOL!
Trash Can
Ditch the boring, ordinary plastic trash can with this beautiful whicker trash bin. Not only will it add texture to your space, but it adds a warm element to the space. We love how unique it looks too!
