We’re sharing 8 simple ways to create a cozy fall home aesthetic!

ways to create a cozy fall home aesthetic

As soon as September hits, we’re craving all things fall, and one of our favorite ways to bring the fall vibes into our home is creating a cozy aesthetic throughout. It’s actually way simpler than it may seem.

Bringing in warm-tones, cozy textures and fall scents will help achieve a cozy, inviting space you’ll never want to leave. We’ve broken down how to create this aesthetic in 8 simple steps.

There is no perfect way of doing this, but we can guarantee that just by doing two, three or all of these things, your home will feel super homey—just in time for fall!

This post is all about ways to create a cozy fall home aesthetic.

8 Simple Ways to Create a Cozy Fall Home Aesthetic

1. Add Cozy Pillows and Blankets

Adding cozy pillows and blankets to your living room, bedroom and other areas of your home is a super simple way to instantly make your space feel cozier. There’s just something about a knitted blanket and cute fall pillow that make a space feel more inviting and curated for the autumn season.

2. Decorate with Faux Fall Florals

One of our favorite ways to bring the fall season inside is with fall florals. Swapping out our bright summer florals for moody, dried stems and faux fall stems is so simple.

We love these fall stems from Target—they are only $5. We also love these faux fall stems from Afloral, because they actually look so real (it’s hard to tell that they are fake).

3. Bring in Warm, Moody Tones

A tip to creating a cozy fall home aesthetic is bringing in warm, moody tones. Colors like, deep reds and purples, golden yellows, burnt orange, and rich brown tones bring the colors of fall to life in your home.

You can add these moody tones into your space with pillows, blankets, fall art work and other fall decor.

4. Burn Cozy Fall Scents

Buying and burning cozy fall candles is by far our favorite part of the season. There’s nothing that captures the season quite like a delicious pumpkin candle. It ties the home together!

5. Bake Delicious Fall Recipes

A week night or weekend in, baking homemade pumpkin spice cinnamon rolls or pumpkin bread is time well spent.

Whatever baked good you make starts to permeate your home, and once it’s done baking, you can enjoy it while sitting on the couch watching Harry Potter or a rom-com.

6. Swap Everyday Decor with Fall Decor

To create even more of an autumn vibe in your home, swapping out your everyday decor (like artwork, rugs, dishes and bedding) with fall-inspired decor can really elevate the mood in your space.

Swap out your bright white entry rug with a warm, jute rug, or exchange your regular bedding with a moody comforter and pillows.

7. Create a Cozy Fall Themed Coffee Bar

Making a cozy, fall coffee bar in your home is another great way to create a cozy fall home aesthetic. There’s something special about making homemade pumpkin spice latte in your favorite fall mug, and snuggling under a blanket to read a book on a cold fall day.

However, before you’re able to do that, you’ll need to swap out your everyday mugs with some cute fall mugs, add some pumpkin coffee and pumpkin syrup to the display as well.

8. Start a Fire and Turn on a Fall Show

Lastly, you can’t have a cozy fall day without a fire. Even if you don’t have a real fireplace, you can create the ambience by playing a crackling fire video on Youtube (this one is our favorite).

Watching your favorite fall show or movie while the fire is burning is our ideal autumn afternoon—all the cozy feelings!
