Gingerbread Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup ginger (peeled and chopped)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp whole cloves
  • 1/2 tsp all spice
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Spiced Gingerbread Latte Recipe

  • 2 shots espresso (or 1/2 cup strong coffee)
  • 24 tbsp gingerbread syrup
  • 8 oz oat milk
  • whipped cream or cinnamon (for topping)


Instructions

Gingerbread Simple Syrup

  1. Add water, brown sugar, white sugar, molasses, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and all spice in a pot and bring to a boil. Stirring as the sugar dissolves. Once it’s boiling and the sugar has dissolved, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.
  2. Let the syrup steep for 15 minutes. Using a fine strainer, strain the syrup from the whole spices. 
  3. Transfer the syrup to a jar and enjoy in a hot latte or vanilla tea.

Spiced Gingerbread Latte Recipe

  1. Add simple syrup to a mug. Brew your fresh espresso shots into the mug. Steam your choice of milk and add to the espresso.
  2. Top with whipped cream, cinnamon, or sprinkles and enjoy!
