Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1012 lb Bone-in sliced ham
  • 1 can pineapple rings
  • 1/2 cup maraschino cherries
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp all spice
  • 1/4 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup bourbon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to for 325ºF. Remove the ham from it’s packaging. If you ham comes with a packet of glaze, discard.
  2. Decorate the ham with pineapple rings and maraschino cherries. Secure pineapple rings onto the ham with toothpicks. Hold the ring onto the ham and press the toothpicks into the the ham, leaving some of the toothpick showing, so you can pull them out after baking. Secure a cherry in the middle of each ring.
  3. After you’ve decorated the ham, wrap the ham in foil. Place the ham in your baking dish and roast for close to 1.5 hours. Cook the ham 13 minutes for every pound (give or take).
  4. About 15 minutes before the first roasting is done, make the brown sugar bourbon glaze. In a saucepan, add brown sugar, maple syrup, mustard, spices, pineapple juice and bourbon.
  5. When you have about 30 minutes of roasting left,  remove the ham from the oven and brush with glaze. Make sure to get into all the nooks and crannies.
  6. Increase the temperature to 425ºF. Place the ham back in the oven, uncovered. Roast for an additional 30-ish minutes until the ham reaches an internal temperature of 140ºF.
  7. Let the ham set for about 20 minutes before serving. Slice and enjoy!
