Description
A yummy fall take on grilled cheese! Cranberry walnut bread toasted in sage-infused butter, layered with creamy gouda cheese and a spread of sweet, spiced pumpkin butter.

- 2 slices walnut bread
- 2–4 tbsp pumpkin butter
- 2 slices gouda cheese
- Sage leaves
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Heat skillet over medium heat. Melt butter and toss in sage leaves. Let them simmer for a couple minutes.
- Place one of the bread slices on the hot skillet, butter side down. Add 2-4 slices of gouda cheese. Spread a thin layer of pumpkin butter on the second slice and place it pumpkin-butter-side-down on the sandwich. Gently spread some extra butter on the top piece of bread.
- Flip sandwich when cheese has started to melt and bread has started to brown and get crispy. It should take about 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Cook until other side is golden brown and cheese has melted through. Drizzle with sage butter from the pan. Slice and serve.
