This Korean skincare routine completely transformed my problematic skin.

Over the past year, I have truly struggled to find the perfect skin regimen. It’s been a battle of finding the best products that work in combination with each other. After months of red inflamed skin from skin barrier damage, I was pretty hopeless. I’d researched, bought all the products, and was so frustrated that nothing was working. I’m ashamed of how many products I tried, but there was something telling me that there was still a solution out there.

One day, McKenzie sent me a TikTok of a girl with similar skin issues. She was using Korean skincare. I’d always heard of how amazing Korean products were, but I was still skeptical after everything else I’d tried. What was just around the corner surprised me — dare I say made me become a lifelong fan.

My Problem Areas:

The main issue with my skin was repairing my skin barrier. No matter how many generic store-bought brands and term-approved products I tried, my skin could not handle any of them. It was inflamed and red all the time.

Despite already having acne-prone skin, my reaction to all the products I used to use (like CeraVe and Cetaphil) was not cutting it. They were at times making my skin feel worse.

Why I Chose Korean Skincare

There were a few reasons I finally pulled the trigger and bought my first bundle of Korean skincare products:

  • I was hopeless. I knew the products at my local Target store weren’t cutting it so went out on a whim to create a skincare routine that was majority Korean products.
  • I wanted to find quality products that were still affordable. While I love splurging on serums and creams every now and then, the staples I use every day have to be within a reasonable budget. For the most part, Korean skincare is super affordable and full of high-quality ingredients.
  • I wanted to see if I could achieve the iconic “glass skin” that everyone raves about after using Korean products.

What is Glass Skin?

It’s the term people use when the Korean skincare term refers to the appearance of smooth, glowing skin — making your skin look almost reflective.

The Results:

After using the Korean skincare products (in combination with Malin+Goetz face wash and moisturizer), my red, irritated skin vanished. I credit it all to Korean skincare!

My skin is glowing, moisturized, and revitalized. I never thought I’d see the day!
