This post is all about how to create the best holiday cookie box. We’re sharing our favorite recipes from years past to make a delicious Christmas cookie box!
Who doesn’t love a box full of cookies?! It’s no secret that we love cookies over here, so we thought it would be fun to put together some cookie packages and gift them to our friends!
These boxes are so fun and unique to each person who makes them. Over the years, we have perfected some of our favorite holiday cookie recipes and had the best time putting them together for our friends and neighbors at home. We think that cookie boxes are a great way to please anyone you gift them to, because you are able to mix a variety of flavors in one package- anywhere from fruity to chocolate flavors!
Cookie boxes are a great way to show someone you care. Although cookie boxes are very popular during the holidays, they can also be a good gift for anytime of the year. We hope that our boxes can give you some inspiration to spread some holiday cheer this Christmas or even New Year!
What’s in our Holiday Cookie Box?
1.ICED SUGAR COOKIES
What is Christmas without sugar cookies?? Everyone in our family gets involved in the kitchen when these are being made (even if that involvement means snagging and eating a cookie or two🤪). We always have a blast decorating them and having a laugh at some cookie designs that didn’t turn out as planned. But hey, they don’t all have to look pretty to taste good, right! We have used this amazing recipe for years and have friends who call in to ask us to make these every year!
2. VEGAN GINGERBREAD:
This recipe rivals our generation old gingerbread recipe and is packed full of spices. I honestly think it tastes a bit better than normal ginger bread! I definitely recommend trying them out. We ended up sprinkling ours with a little bit of course sugar which perfectly cut the spiciness of the ginger.
3. PEANUT BUTTER KISS COOKIES :
These peanut butter kiss cookies are MUST and a tradition to make during the holidays. They’re a favorite by everyone in our family. We followed the recipe that is linked but added our twist- we rolled the dough balls in the course sugar before baking them. It makes all the difference!
4. CHOCOLATE CRINKLE COOKIES:
We love how elegant these crinkle cookies look after they are baked. This was the first time we tried this chocolate crinkle cookie recipe and they are so decadent. Their a small bite but packed with the chocolate-y flavor.
5. CANDY CANE MARSHMALLOWS:
Okay, y’all these are INSANE. We have made homemade marshmallows several times before trying this recipe and these candy cane marshmallows were our favorite thing in the box. They are great to eat alone but can take a normal a cup of cocoa to the level!
(Note: We adjusted the peppermint extract to just 1/4 tsp of peppermint because it can be very strong and almost taste like toothpaste.)
Time in the kitchen this year is always more fun and joyful when you get into the holiday spirit and make festive treats. We hope by sharing our cookie box with you, may give you an idea of a festive cookie you want to bake or maybe you want to recreate this dreamy cookie box.
If you do make a cookie box or any of these creations we shared on the blog, we would love to see them! Send us a picture on social media or keep in touch with us through email!
We hope you have safe and healthy holidays this year!! Spread the Christmas Cheer!
