Heart Shaped Chocolate Dipped Rice Krispie Treat
What’s in this recipe:
Rice Krispies cereal: Rice cereal is the star ingredient in these trice Krispie treats. They really are the perfect cereal because they are light and airy and blend well with the melted buttery marshmallow mixture.
Mini Marshmallows: Melted marshmallows are the delicious glue to holding the treats together. No need to make your own marshmallow mixture, just buy a couple bags of mini marshmallows to save time and cleanup!
Salted Butter: We prefer salted butter because it will help balance the sweetness of the marshmallows. The butter melts with the mini marshmallows to make the gooey, buttery mixture that is then mixed with the rice cereal to make the treats.
Vanilla Bean Paste: A bit of vanilla adds a tough of flavor to the treats.
White Chocolate Chips: The Krispie treats are dipped into melted white chocolate, making them even more delicious and festive for the holiday.
Coconut Oil: A small amount of coconut oil is added to the white chocolate chips before melting to make a smoother chocolate. It is key for keeping the chocolate smooth for dipping.
Organic red gel food dye: We added red food dye to the white chocolate to make the treats festive for the valentines holiday!
Pink Sprinkles: We ordered super fun valentines day from Pop Sprinkles for ours, but use what every you have around the house!
Heart-shaped cookie cutter: It’s valentines day soon, so of course we had to make them heart shaped. A super easy way to cut the shape is using a heart-shaped cookie cutter!
