- 1 lb grass-fed beef
- 1 yellow onion
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 1/2 cups bone broth
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 2 tsp italian seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 box banza chickpea pasta
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- In a large dutch oven or pot, cook ground beef over medium high heat. Once the meat is cooked though, remove from pot and set aside for later.
- Leaving the grease on the bottom of the pan add the chopped onion over medium heat and cook for 5 minutes or until slightly translucent. Add the garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Add flour to the pot and stir. Allow this to sit for about 30 seconds and then add the beef broth. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Pour in the chickpea pasta, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Stir all the ingredients once and then cover the pot with a lid. Cook on medium heat for 10-12 minutes or until the pasta is cooked.
- Remove the lid from the pot and stir in the almond milk, cheddar cheese and cooked ground beef. Cook for 3 more minutes to reheat the meat.
- Top with fresh thyme and salt and pepper for taste! Enjoy hot!
