  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 12 people 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 23 honey crisp apples (sliced)
  • 1 block sharp white cheddar cheese (sliced)
  • 1 block sharp cheddar cheese (sliced)
  • 1 pkg summer sausage (sliced)
  • 1 pkg seed crackers
  • 1 batch soft pretzel nuggets (*see notes for the recipe we used)
  • 1 pkg vegan queso or cheese sauce of your choice
  • 1 jar apple butter
  • 1 batch candied walnuts (*see notes for our recipe)
  • 1 pkg dark chocolate sea salt caramels
  • 1 pkg mini chocolate chip cookies

Instructions

Prepare the Food Items for the Board:

  1. The first step to making any charcuterie board is to prepare the items to be placed on the board. Make the soft pretzels before preparing any other food (see recipe below).
  2. Once the pretzels are made, it’s time to prepare the rest of the items for the board:
    – Cut the cheese into slices
    – Cut the summer sausage into slices
    – Chop the apple into slices
    – Heat the queso in a microwavable bowl
    – Add some apple butter to a small ramekin
    – Make your candied nuts (see our recipe below or use store bought nuts)

Assemble the Board:

  1. Start by placing the dipping sauce ramekins or any item that’s contained in a small bowl or ramekin on the board. Then we layer in the larger food items, like the apples, cheddar cheese, crackers and pretzels.
  2. Lastly, fill the remaining spaces on the board with the smaller items, like the candied nuts, mini chocolate chop cookies and dark chocolate caramels.
  3. Enjoy with friends or family!

Candied Walnut Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar

Directions:

  1. In a skillet, add butter, coconut sugar and walnuts.
  2. Stir to coat the walnuts with the coconut sugar and butter as it melts. Continue to stir the walnuts as the coconut sugar coating gets sticky – for about 2 minutes.
  3. Transfer the nuts to a piece of parchment paper and spread them in an even layer to cool and harden for 5 minutes.
