Fall is one of our favorite times of year, and making sure our home feels warm and cozy is important. We are going to show you are 8 ways to make your home cozy for fall.

Fall is such a cozy time of year. It invites you to cook warm, delicious recipes and decorate your space with cute, cozy fall decor.

We aren’t much fans of the bright orange and yellow fall decor. We love neutral and cozy home decor that adds texture and warm tones to space. This year we are obsessed with dried pampas grass, cozy knit blankets and neutral home decor that subtly, yet beautifully, invites the season in.

If you love more warm and neutral toned home decor that will complement the aesthetic of your home, you’ve come to right place!

This post is all about cozy home decor ideas.

8 Cozy Home Decor Ideas

1. Cozy Living Room Decor

We always love making our living room feel cozy for fall. We love adding warm colors and textures to the room that bring the season into the room. To create a cozy living room, we recommend adding knit blankets, neutral, textured pillows and decorative candles.

Your living room is the space that all your friends and family will gather on cold fall nights. We love adding layers of different neutral colors, because this adds to the cozy vibe of a space. Try adding a rich burnt red pillow or vase to your space. The rich red is such a beautiful color for the fall season. It adds visual interest and contrast to any sofa or accent chair.

3. Cozy Fireplace Decor

We unfortunately don’t have an a fire place in our apartment, but if we did, we would design it just like this. We love the cozy, vintage look of this mantle.

Mantles are meant to be a focal point of a room, so decorating them as the seasons change, accents their beauty and function throughout the year. We recommend decorating with a gold framed mirrorcandle sticks, and potted flowers (dried flowers are perfect for fall).

Adding vintage pieces to your mantle will create a cozy, lived-in look. We love to add decor items with character, because it makes spaces feel comfortable and inviting.

4. Warm Fall Kitchen Accents

Any opportunity we get to make our kitchen feel cozy, we take it! Fall is the perfect time of year to do so. We love baking pumpkin bread and brewing fresh, hot cappuccinos in our kitchen during this time of year. With warm decor, it amplifies the cozy vibes inside, while it’s colder outside.

With neutral, cozy decor, it invites us into the space and inspires us for the season. Making your kitchen feel cozy doesn’t have to be hard. Add a fall-scented candle and dried leaf accents to a vase.

We love how this look is minimal, but achieves a cozy feel. It’s so easy, you won’t have to think too hard about it.

5. Cozy Fall Bedroom Decor

You don’t have to completely transform your room for fall. Adding small accents to your room can do so much and create all the cozy vibes!

There are some people who completely change their bedding depending on the season, however, if you have a neutral colored comforter, you can make simple swaps for each season. Add a burnt red, knit blanket to your bedding for fall. Feel free to add natural elements like mini pumpkins and dried leaf stems to a vase on your night stand.

We recommend styling your dresser or side table with wooden bead garland and decorative candles. We added these items to our fall decor favorites post, because we are so obsessed with how they look as fall decor.

6. Cozy Dresser Decor

Dressers are our favorite piece to style in our bedroom, because it’s another space to reflect our personal style. Why not have fun and decorate it for the coziest season of all, too?

We recommend adding a vase of pampas grass, a scalloped, wooden mirror and other natural decorative accents to your dresser. Like we mentioned before, we like accenting our home with more neutral fall decor, so we love how this look is subtle, but still so beautiful.

7. Neutral Entryway Decor

In our apartment, we don’t have a proper entry way, so we are unable to create a cozy entrance to our space like you would in a townhome or home. However, we are obsessed with this entryway design!

Your entryway is what people see right when they walk into your house, so it’s a perfect place to add cozy home decor to invite your guests in. Try decorating with some vintage books, mini pumpkin accents, and a cozy, fall candle.

8. Fall Front Door Decor

We’ve talked about making the inside of your home cozy, but have you thought about making your front door inviting for fall as well.

Pumpkins are our favorite and inexpensive items to add to the front door. We like the stacked look of pumpkins for fall. It’s super simple to decorate your front step with various sizes and colors of pumpkins. We love buying the light green, orange and white ones for ours.

Lastly, layer a  plaid rug with a fall doormat. It’s such a classic fall look, but we feel like it never really goes out of style.
