Straight Edge Utility Knife: This is used for trimming the wallpaper with a precise cut.

How do you apply peel and stick wallpaper?

We follow 5 simple steps to applying peel and stick wallpaper. To apply peel and stick wallpaper you:

1. Measure

Measure your space accurately to determine how much space you need to cover. You’ll need to measure the length and width of the wall(s) you are applying the wallpaper to. We used a tape measure and then used this wall paper calculator to determine how much we needed.

2. Prepare the Wall

Before applying the peel and stick wallpaper, you’ll need to use a sponge or cloth to wipe the wall of dust and anything else on it. This gives the wallpaper a super clean surface to cling onto and ensure the wall paper adheres to the wall as best as it can.

3. Start Applying Your Wallpaper Panels

You’ll want to peel off around 12 inches of the adhesive backing to start. Line the top edge of the wallpaper panel to top edge of your wall. Move from the top to the bottom slowly as you press and smooth the wallpaper against the wall with a plastic moving tool.

Once you apply the wallpaper down to the base board, use a straight edge to trim the rest of the wall paper off.

4. Pattern Match & Repeat

For the next wall papers, you will want to carefully line up the wallpaper pattern to create a seamless look. What’s so great about wall paper is that the patter repeats itself, so you aren’t wasting a ton of material. Repeat the application process until your wall is complete.

5. Trim Around Windows and Wall Sockets

If you run into a window or wall socket, adhere the panel to the wall and then go back and trim around the window or wall socket using your straight edge.

6. Smooth Out Air Bubbles

After all the panels are installed and your wall is complete, use your plastic tool to smooth out any air bubbles
