One thing about me is that I wear jeans almost every single day of the year. They have always been and always will be the number one staple in my closet. While other people may be drawn to splurging on a new pair of sneakers, a new jacket, or a handbag, I would hands-down choose to purchase a high-quality pair of jeans every single time.
I can’t pinpoint what perplexes me most about denim. Maybe it’s the versatility in styles. Maybe it’s the creativity you find in different washes and prints. Or maybe it’s the way they can be comfortably elevated from day to night — no matter the occasion.
Over the past couple of years, I’ve started to invest in high-end jeans to test out which brands I love the most, and today, I’m sharing which brands made the cut.
If you’re looking to invest in your first pair of high-quality jeans or want to add one or two to your current collection, these are the ones to shop — read more below.
Overall Best Jean: Pistola Lexi Jean
Overall Best Luxe Denim Experience: Buck Mason Jeans
1. Pistola Denim Lexi Jeans

I’m cutting right to the chase here and sharing my absolute favorite pair of high-end jeans. Of all the denim brands I’ve worn, the Lexi Jeans from Pistola Denim far outweigh every other brand.
I wear these jeans multiple days during the week because they are incredibly comfortable and the most flattering fit. They are a hybrid between a barrel jean and straight-leg — giving you the feel of a wider leg, but fitting your body in the right places. Plus, as a 5’3” girlie who always has to get the inseam hemmed, the petite size and length are perfection.
2. AMO Denim

I snagged a pair of Amo jeans during an Anthropologie sale a year ago, and they are probably my second most worn jeans. They are the Amo Sonia Cuffed Jeans (which they no longer sell), but they have so many more styles that are similar. A couple of key things I like about these jeans are that they have structure, but are also soft and comfortable to wear all day long.
3. Frame Jeans

If you’re looking for a jean that doesn’t quite feel like a jean at all — more like lounge pants — then Frame jeans are a great option. I have a couple of pairs from this brand. One of them is a cargo jean, and the other is a slim bootcut jean. The spandex blend with the denim is such high-quality. I love wearing these jeans when I want a tighter fit, but still want to feel comfortable when I move throughout the day.
4. Citizens of Humanity

I have been obsessed with Citizens of Humanity jeans for years. As a petite girl, it’s hard to find a brand that consistently releases jeans that fit your body type. Citizens of Humanity jeans have always been so flattering. If you’re shorter, like me, some styles may require a bit of length hemming.
Overall, they are and always will be one of the most incredible denim brands. There are so many styles, wash colors, and collections to choose from, but I’m sharing a couple of my favorites below.
5. Buck Mason Denim

If you’re looking for a luxe in-store denim experience, I highly recommend Buck Mason. I recently bought a pair of their Japanese Loomstate Selvedge Jeans, and it was beyond my expectations.
Since these jeans are raw denim, they personally hem them on-site and ship them to your home within a few days of purchase (all free of charge). While a few denim brands offer this service, these jeans in particular have a raw denim edge that makes them perfectly customizable to your preferred length.
This was my most recent jean purchase, and I love them so much. The dark denim wash is perfect for dressing up at night with a cute top and kitten heels.
