How to Organize Christmas Decor
1. Purge any Damaged, Broken or Unwanted Decor
The first thing we recommend doing before you begin to store your Christmas decor is to purge your items. Whether you have lights strands that broke throughout the season, ornaments that are showing wear and tare or any other items that aren’t suiting your home anymore, it’s good to go through and get rid of items.
You can either throw the unwanted or broken items away, or if they are still in good shape, you can donate them.
2. Sort Decor by Item Type

We find that creating different zones (or groups) on our floor for “garland”, “wreaths”, “ornaments” and “other holiday decor” helps us visually see and make sure we have everything together before place them in bins to store.
