Description

These wings are coated in a flavorful seasoning before being baked until crispy. And when they’re hot out of the oven, they’re brushed with a hot honey glaze.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Hot Honey Glaze

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce
  • 23 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, S&P.
  3. Pat chicken dry. Toss in the flour mixture and line the wings on a baking sheet.
  4. Cook for 15 minutes, flipping over, and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165ºF.
  5. While the chicken is cooking, whisk together the honey glaze ingredients in a bowl and whisk together.
  6. Pour the glaze mixture into a saucepan and heat over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
  7. Remove the chicken from the oven and brush glaze over one side of the chicken. Flip to coat the other side.
  8. Immediately brush with an additional layer of glaze.
  9. Plate the wings and sprinkle with chili flakes or parsley for a garnish.
