Description
Cheesy seasoned hamburger meat, crisp lettuce, sliced cherry tomatoes, tangy pickled relish, and a drizzle of creamy homemade burger sauce. Fries optional!

- 5–6 slices chopped bacon
- 1 lb hamburger meat
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper
- 1 head romaine lettuce
- 1/2 cup pickles, chopped
- 1/4 cup pickled onions chopped
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes chopped
Homemade Burger Sauce
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp dijon mustard
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to season to taste
Optional: 1 bag of frozen waffle fries
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400ºF.
- Line baking sheet with foil and bacon strips in a single layer on the pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy. Transfer bacon to a paper towel lined plate to soak some of the extra grease.
- Cook waffle fries according to the package instructions.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add 2 tbsp of olive oil and chopped onion. Stir and let the onions cook down until they are soft.
- Move the onions to the sides of the pan and add ground meat to the center of the skillet. Break apart using a wooden spoon or spatula. Cook until meat is browned. Add in onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper and cheese. Sauté for a couple more minutes to season. Remove from heat.
- Make a relish with pickles and pickled onions. Roughly chop pickles and pickled onions and mix together in a bowl.
- Make burger sauce. In a bowl, add ingredients for burger sauce and whisk together until evenly incorporated.
- Layer your burger bowl. Start with a bed of romaine lettuce, top with ground meat, pickled relish, chopped cherry tomatoes, bacon bits, burger sauce, some extra cheese. Serve with waffle fries.
