Create the Menu
After you chose a movie, it’s time to create the menu. This is what makes it a true “taste the movie” party. Here are some questions to ask yourself when choosing the perfect menu for the movie or TV show you’re choosing to watch:
- Are there any specific foods they eat in the movie?
- If it’s an era film, are there any foods that they ate during that time period?
- Are there themed foods you can serve? — Example: for Zootopia you could serve Animal crackers, thgersblood snow cones or other animal themed foods.
- Are there different ethnic foods you can serve that relate to the movie?
Your menu can be as elaborate or simple as you would like. This is party idea is more open ended and open to any interpretation you’d like to give it, so have some fun.
Ask your friends to pitch in and go potluck style with the menu too. In our opinion, this way is so much more fun.
Set the Scene at Your House
Since a “taste the movie” party is a more relaxed occasion, keep the decorations simple, cozy and on theme for the movie. Make signs to label the food. Add a cute, themed banner or serve food on themed plates.
