Did you get your greens today?! This Power Green Detox Smoothie Recipe with power greens is a thick, creamy blend of fruit and greens to create a delicious smoothie! You wont even know you are getting several servings of greens!
Let’s be honest, it can be hard to get in a serving of greens or vegetables and fruits throughout the day! That’s why smoothies are our go-to when we feel like we are needing to pack a lot of our daily recommended nutrients into one cup. This Power Green detox smoothie recipe is great for packing in the greens with the addition of spinach and power greens superfood powder.
The best tips for creating the best green smoothie:
- Freeze your Fruit: Using frozen bananas in your smoothies creates a thick, creamier texture in a smoothie. Depending on how many bananas you add, it can almost make the smoothie consistency comparable to a milkshake at times.
- Adding Tropical Fruits can create a nice flavor! In green smoothies, our favorite fruits add are mango, pineapple or peach chunks. These flavors seem to complement the greens flavor and add a nice punch of sweetness to the smoothie.
- Use a high powered blender: No one likes a smoothie with grainy pieces of spinach leaves! Using a high powered blender will be sure to blend your spinach into the finest form.
- Add a Superfood Powder: Since you’re already adding some greens why not add some more? In addition to spinach greens, adding in a superfood green powder will give you even more nutrients. The powder we used and have linked here is very concentrated, providing a couple servings of fruits and vegetables in each scoop!!
